A while ago, my husband and I were involved in a car accident. A car coming from behind drove directly into the back of our car, the driver was speeding and was inattentive and did not notice when we stopped for a pedestrian.

The accident resulted in me being injured with both my neck and back. In the beginning, I struggled with pain that was bearable, in addition to stiffness in my body and poor sleep. This was part of my everyday life, although I quickly got treatment with physiotherapy every other day which I still go to for insurance reasons.

Usually when I have had physiotherapy treatment it has helped, but not this time, unfortunately it has not had the desired effect, despite having treatment every other day. On the contrary, it was
the pain worsened and I was just as robotic in my movements, in addition I left with both nausea, headache and dizziness.

After two weeks there was no change, even though I had gone to treatment every other day since the accident I still felt bad and in a lot of pain. And I started thinking about how I was going to be able to endure sitting on the school bench for a whole weekend.

But luckily there was help to be had, my hypnotherapy teacher did a simple and simple hypnosis on the whole group on the first day, she went around between us and stopped at each one of us. When she stopped in front of me, not a word spoke of the accident, pain or stiffness, but rather of letting go and tension.

The next day when I woke up and got out of bed I could suddenly turn my head and bend down, I wasn’t as robotic in my movements as before. So I went to school happy and when I arrived at school I was greeted by the other students with the words “You don’t have pain in your neck anymore”, I asked them how they knew that and they told me that they could see it all over my posture and was happy for me. And they were quite right, I had no pain in my neck or back, it was a relief.

One of my nice fellow students even offered a hypnosis session with pain management, and I have to say that here probably most of the rest of the pain I had disappeared, it was a fantastic feeling and I am deeply grateful to her for the help and know that I will have a few more sessions to get rid of the pain completely.

In the meantime, I’m still going to physical therapy every other day, in case there are any further complications, because no one is going to say that I didn’t follow the treatment that the insurance company paid for and that the other driver who drove up behind us caused.

Now I am going to my third pain treatment with hypnosis, and I am looking forward to getting rid of the last pain.
